This article is for all of you coaches out there who have been experiencing some level of success with your coaching business, but are ready to take that business to the next level. You can only go so far by coaching on a local level. If you have substantial experience in coaching, then you owe it to yourself to use a little leverage to get paid a lot more than you currently are. Here is how you do it. Smart coaches are packaging their teaching lessons so that they can be watched and listened to by thousands of students without the coach having to repeat every single lesson for every single person or group. Using modern technology and the internet, you can distribute those lessons to tens of thousands of potential students instead of the small number that are within your local community. If you brand yourself properly, you can actually demand a higher price for this automated self-paced study course than you might be charging right now for your one on one coaching. Before you worry about how you are going to sell you coaching material, I suggest you put some coarse material together first. One way that you can do this is to host a series of teleconferences. You would run one conference for each instructional lesson. This is just like a conference call that you may have seen in a business environment. It combines the internet along with the use of a telephone to provide an exceptional learning environment. You show a series of slides or a Power Point presentation at the same time you are giving a lecture. Students watch along as they listen to you explain the lesson material. At the end of your lecture, you allow students to ask questions for you to clarify. The entire lesson is recorded from beginning to end. These lessons are going to be the very material that you are going to package and sell to future students. You can conduct a whole bunch of these lessons at a really low cost. Make sure you go with a reliable teleconference provider that is setup for this type of thing. In your lessons you can also invite other coaches as guest speakers to share an additional viewpoint on the lesson. In fact, your course would be seen as being even more valuable if you interviewed other leading coaches in the field. These conferences aren’t the only part of the package. You probably ought to have some written material to distribute and maybe some videos too. The entire package can be sold for a fixed price. Then you can offer an up-sell where satisfied students can opt into attending some future live teleseminars where they can get even more feedback from you. You could host either one long teleconference for one group of students or you could sell them a subscription to attend a series of them over a period of time. The cool part about a recorded seminar is that students can listen to them on anything including their Ipods. To sell these products across the globe, you will want to get a website up and running that displays a really professional image. You will want to come up with a brand name to use to sell your coaching material. I strongly suggest you hire a really good local graphic designer to do the website graphics and layout. This is money well spent. The level of professionalism with your website is going to help you turn potential students into buying customers. Once the website is complete you can either learn how to promote it yourself or else hire a professional website promoter to help you do the work. Think about the potential here. If you spend a few months putting together a really nice package of lessons, you could potentially make a lot of money. That is a great way to leverage your existing coaching skills. Doing something like this will also boost your own image in the local community as being a leading expert in your field. That could also open the doors for you to some other interesting opportunities.
