How we look at life depends greatly on our circumstances. When we are happy, healthy and have sufficient money for all of our needs and wants, we think life is more than fair.

Put the shoe on the other foot where we are unhappy, sickly and constantly worried about money, and we deem life to be totally unfair. Is this a realistic conclusion?

We get out of life that for which we work and ask. We are where we are in life because that is where we have asked to be. Life neither rewards nor punishes us. What we are and what we are given is based on our deepest desires and on our performance.

We cannot expect to operate at minimal capacity with little or no desire and reap great rewards. We can expect great rewards when we operate at maximum capacity with great desires.

Throughout history there have been those who were born sickly or became extremely ill later in life and who went on to become healthy and vibrant. How did they do this? Through a strong desire to be healthy which led to maximum efforts to achieve this goal.

Many have gone from extreme poverty to great wealth or from severe depression to great happiness. Why do you think this is? I, for one, have no idea why life is this way. I have found that it is neither fair nor unfair, it just is.

Study the history of humanity and you will find the above statements to be validated. There is much to be learned from a study of generations past. You will find documentation of tremendous individual and group achievements, and you will also find much lack of any type of positive accomplishments.

We can afford to ignore these lessons of history only at our own peril. What will you do? nnnn

I have a new cell phone. I didn’t want a new cell phone; I was perfectly happy with my 2020 cell phone, but it wasn’t happy with me. Its connector charging port was ailing. Failing, actually, the service tech told me. And besides, it was an old phone, what did I expect? Old? This to a woman who is more than content, read “thrilled,” to wear outdated fashions just because she likes them. And would willingly keep computers way past their supposed “shelf life.” Sigh. OK, fine,
