Not everyone is able and is willing to use yoga, which is a great opportunity for relaxation. But there are many other methods for us, the ordinary people, which help us escape from the insidious stress.
Do not hesitate to say what you think directly to people, especially at the workplace where the tension is great. Each of us in one or another moment has been worried to tell the others what he/she thinks. Even when we are offended we try to shut up in order to escape the conflict. But this leads to strong emotional stress, which damages your health. Of course, try to be mild when you say what you think, but you should always say it.
You should learn how to “let off the stream”. You should find a way to do it. In Japan, for example, some companies offer dummies, on which you can ‘spill’ your anger. Feel free to cry if you want; if you want to shout-do it.
Think positively. We usually blame ourselves that we have not done anything or have lost something. Do not strive for perfection. Do what makes you feel happy. Thus your life will become easier.
You should try not to depend on the views of the others. There are usually many gossips about us at the workplace but we should not pay attention to them. We are not obliged to like anyone. If we constantly think about this, we are constantly in stressful situations.
Smile more often. Even if you are not happy, you should smile. Do it for 5-10 minutes and repeat the magic phrase “Everything will be fine!” This will cause a reflex in the brain and you will feel happier.
Now and then, arrange holidays for yourself. Make yourself gifts, buy things you like, eat tasty food. Thus you will get more joy from life and the stress will decrease.
Get up earlier in the morning. If you oversleep you will not have time to finish all the things you have. And this puts you in a stressful situation. Put the alarm 15 minutes earlier and you will be able to drink your coffee and relax before the start of the working day.
Do not miss to take a shower and have a massage, especially after hard working day. The massage can be done by you. Use circular motions to massage your forehead towards the temples.

Find some time to stay alone. Often the cause of stress is the fact that we have no personal time and space. Find some place where to rest alone. If you can’t do it at home, go for a walk.
Do not forget to eat healthy. This is a very important factor for decreasing the stress. Eat more fruits and vegetables.
