And virtually all of their strategies worked so that the launch they had in mind was a hit.
The attention off late for their cars has been unprecedented in spite of the cars being expensive as compared to other cars in the same electric cars category. Their USP is that the owner of the car will never have to fill up gas at a gas station. This is simply unbelievable for most of the users as they are accustomed to waiting in long queues especially in the morning and evening rush hour time. Just the idea that their car will be able to drive through the city for around two days, on average, on a single charge is mind boggling.
Pitching against Hybrid CarsOne thing that Tesla had to work against is the fact that there are already Hybrid cars available in the market for quite some time now. So just through marketing they have to raise awareness among their target market a Hybrid car is no match against their electric car which is a class above the rest. The apt use of social media also a great factor in their success in the UAE. Their marketers handled the situation quite well so that they took the social media by storm. Even the top management at the Tesla headquarters was surprised by the marketing campaign that cemented Tesla’s status as a premier car brand.
