In this article, I am going to outline the Higher Balance Meditation system. In my opinion, this is by far the most comprehensive and advanced meditation system that I have ever come across. It has been designed to specifically develop multiple facets of awareness, concentration, energetic and sensory development, that all combine to make you more proficient in whatever spiritual activities you wish to undertake, from manifestation and ‘psychic’ reading to increasing your experiential rate at which you access life.nnLike the karate kid, this meditation allows a ‘wax on, wax off’ approach’ that teaches the student far more than he realised at first.nnFancy living life in high definition? This meditation technique, when practised correctly, can achieve this in a relatively short time, in just 9 easy steps.nnThis meditation is designed to be performed to music, as music acts like “chewing gum for the brain”. Think of it like running with weights on, you’ll get much stronger in a short period of time. Its also much more enjoyable . Experiment with music types, but non-vocal tracks make it easier to create a non-vocal state of mind, that is thinking in feeling as opposed to words.nn1) Sit in a chair, or place yourself in half-lotus – remember, comfort is far more important than any strict meditation position that many systems insist on. What use is the optimum energy gathering position if you can’t think about anything but pain! The most important thing is that you body is relaxed, but your back is straight.nn2) Place your hands in your lap, one hand over the other (palms up), with the two thumbs touching. This is the default hand position, or ‘Mudra’.nn3) Taking three deep breaths, on each exhale release any current stresses that you have, and give yourself permission to relax. Spend a few minutes paying close attention to your body, from the feet to the head, paying attention to the feelings on your skin, but also the feeling within your body. Note all details loosely with your awareness. By focusing on the body, you slowly come to realise it is a mechanical vehicle, and not you.nn4) Visualise and feel the energy in the room with you. This energy, prana, is like the life-force of the universe. It permeates all things, and is attracted to you like a magnet when you think of it. See it as a bluish or silver-like light, a positive force, entering and filling your body, making it glow like a light-bulb on a dimmer switch.nn5) Place two fingers of a preferred hand on the lower chakra point (about an inch below the belly button) and, feeling the touch, breath the prana in through this point. Relax and just gently remind yourself of the sensation every time your mind wanders (which it will!). Be happy you remembered. By focusing on the touch, you are drawing prana into your chakra, and it is acting like a fuelling station, providing you with a reservoir of energy for metaphysical activities. The key is to combine the intent of the meditation, drawing energy in non-thought, with the receptivity and openness to the universe and energy around you. Let the experience of meditation happen to you.nn6) After 5-10 minutes, perform the same for the heart chakra, located about one inch above the sternum. After the same time, move to the mind chakra, in the middle of your forehead. If you hand gets tired, see if you can maintain the feeling of the touch whilst your hands are in the default position. It is the eventual goal to not use the hands at all.nn7) During the meditation, see if you can ‘reach out’ into the room with your awareness from each chakra point, and actually feel the energy coming in. If you can’t don’t panic. This system will allow anyone to get to that point with only a little practise.nn8) At the end of the meditation, take a deep breath in, release yourself to the universe in a gentle bow, and allow yourself to be put back together greater than you were before.nn9) For best results, practise for 20-30 minutes twice a day. Personally, I have found that on hour after waking and two hours before bed is about optimum for me, but experiment and find your most effective times that fit with your lifestyle.nnLast but not least, enjoy yourself! With just a little investment, this technique is sure to deliver the fantastic results you are looking for. My life is a personal testament to this. I am happy to answer any questions on this.
