The turn around of events for everyone has a purpose whether it’s from bad to good, or good to bad. And a leader may think he is a leader now, may not be really a leader after all. That’s why there’s a purpose for every turn of events in our lives. rnEveryone around him regards him with power and authority. He is feared and respected by his employers and his associates. He is the major owner of the big corporations that speaks millions and billions of money in the city and neighboring provinces. He drives the luxurious cars, had mansion and properties everywhere. But when economic depression pulls his assets and riches, his story becomes riches to rags. And the people who used to respect him were nowhere to support and follow him. What happened to these people? During his lifetime he was akin to money and power onlyrnHe lived without a family who loves him. That’s why he doesn’t feel for his employees’ when they had explanation about family affairs or family emergencies. For him, work is more important because it’s where money is derived for their living. His life evolves around getting rich, investing money and acquiring more money. Public relations for him involve association with people who he thinks he can derive benefit for business only. Those whom he regards as nonsense gathering like reunions, religious invitations, and etc. should not form part of his hectic schedule. He was a lonely personrnDespite the things that surround him, his life is lonely. He doesn’t know how to accept defeat and failure that’s why even the reality of his loneliness he could not accept. After he shows and flaunts to the world that he is powerful and he has all the riches in the world, he doesn’t know how to fill the emptiness in his heart. His constant rudeness and disrespect of his employees resulted to despise of his presence. His pride overpowers his character that’s why he doesn’t want to show compassion for anyone. Thanksgiving celebration for him is non-sense because he has no family to reunite with. One associate dared to invite him for dinner but he was quick to reject the invitation and even insulted the person as being intrusive of his life. He had an unhappy childhoodrnHe was an abandoned child. He never knew his parents and was raised by a brutal man who only feed him when he has something to earn for the day. He lived with pain and hatred during his childhood days. He never experienced being happy and carefree. He doesn’t know what it feels like to be loved and cared for. He grew up rough and tough. No one befriended him because he was aloof and gruff. But his consolation in life is his intelligence that brought him scholarship grants. He wielded power without minding who he will stumble in the path. And he did what he aims to be. He had power and riches. From Rags to Riches—Riches to RagsrnHis story would have been something to learn from if not the turn of event. The amass riches was gone along with power and prestige. But the story did not end there because it was the beginning of his realization of life. Life thought him to be humble and to be thankful. And the leader, who has no follower before when he had riches and power, has found a new meaning in life. His riches and power was gone, but his life as a leader and a teacher brought him profound sense of living. He became a powerful speaker for people who wanted real riches and power. When his earthly riches and power was still there, he has no follower. But when everything was gone, except for his gratefulness and humility, everyone followed him. The leader, who has no follower before, becomes the leader with followers because of his change in life.
