The Pursuit of Happiness— the Challenge for Every Family Person

We try to fill the emptiness we felt with things that makes us happy. We wanted to get rich to buy the things we want. We wanted to be a good spouse to please our partner and make him happy. We wanted to be a good father or mother to make our children proud and happy. And when everything turns out not the way we wanted, we despair and we become depressed. Why is depression so common? Because we depended our happiness on the people around us. When our spouse tries to fill his emptiness from third party relationship, our focus becomes blurry. We become failure and out of focus because our constant attention and focus is our insecurities. We become possessive and in panic depression. Our personality changes, and it’s either we lose our friends or we lose our job. When our children fail us also, our joy and happiness becomes shaky. And our children’s happiness and joy emanates from its family. When we lose our own happiness we also influence our children’s hope. But how does a person find happiness if you are the center and source of happiness for your family? Happiness comes from love. And when we love our family we forgot that we are an individual also and that no one will love us the way we love ourselves. It’s not selfishness as the notion says, but it’s the perfect source of happiness. If you love yourself, you will have reason each day to live and to hope for. And the way you show your love to yourself, you are also emanating happiness to the people around you. It’s easy to love and to share happiness if you have that in your heart, because if you lack love and happiness to your self, your love will run out. When we thought we had given up everything for our family’s happiness and still they fail us, we constantly sigh and say “I’m tired; I’m not happy anymore; I’m giving up”. You can try to reverse this statement and make it your own reminder of how to be happy and how to love yourself: - I’m cooking meals for my family because I love doing things in the kitchenrn- I will go to the spa because I want to good look for myselfrn- I want to succeed in my work because I love my jobrn- I love to play with my kid because it’s so much joy to be a kid in heartrn- I’m in diet because I love to see my body get sexy and appealingrn- I am fetching and taking care of my children because I love what I’m doingrn- I will watch movie in movie houses because I love filmsrn- I play sports because I love getting sweat and the fun and enjoyment of it There are many statements you can say to yourself and remind you that you are doing these things to your self or family because you love doing it and it makes you happy. If you are the things because you are obligated to you will not be happy. Always incorporate optimism and love in what you are doing. A constant reminder that you love yourself will point you to the direction of what real happiness means. Happiness is like oxygen we breathe and exhale as carbon dioxide to help plants and animals live as well. If we have happiness within our self, it’s easy to give and share love and joy to our family and the people around us. That’s the real pursuit of happiness. A pursuit for self love and happiness.
