So often in MLM and network marketing, especially when we're new, we become guilty of looking for the "magic dust". If we could just figure out that one little nugget that we must be missing, that one secret the successful leaders don't seem willing to share, well then we believe we'll finally make it. Yet one of the most important observations I can share when it comes to how to build a successful network marketing business is that there is no magic dust. In fact, success is actually relatively simple, but it's still far from easy for most of us. Oh sure, there are the one-in- a-thousand who have fabulous results almost from the outset. But that's not who most of us are and that's not who this article is for. One of the challenges in network marketing is that we seem to always hear about the superstars who are achieving spectacular results and so it's easy to think there must be something wrong with us if we're not doing the same. If you're not careful, that can be one of the most de-motivating thought spirals you will ever experience. The truth is that only 3% to 5% of people who start a network marketing business are ever successful with it. Does that mean network marketing as a home business is a bad thing? Not at all. Network marketing has created more millionaires than any other industry on the planet - by far. And the network marketing industry does not discriminate based on education, ethnicity, gender or anything else. So what separates then, the 3% to 5% of people who have the big results with network marketing from everyone else? It Doesn't Take Anything "Special" One of the things I've learned is that few if any of the mega leaders having massive network marketing success are much different than you or I. And yet, in some ways, they are very different. In my experience, there is an underlying common characteristic the truly successful giants in the industry all have in common. They all want it really bad ... really, really bad. We often refer to this as "having a strong why". A network marketing business is a tremendous way of building real, life changing financial freedom. And it can be really fun. However, it still requires lots of work and effort. If you do not have a burning, passionate reason for building your business, particularly in the early days and especially if you are building part-time while working a full-time job, then you will quickly find yourself creating excuses not to take action. Or if you are comfortable in your present circumstance and not extremely motivated to make a meaningful change, you will never have the internal drive that puts you into action. Without the action, the results will never come. And therein lies the root of most people's failure to build a successful network marketing business. So the very first thing to ask yourself is "how badly do you want it?" Do you want to learn more about what I've discovered it takes to build a successful network marketing business? I've just written a brand new guide called "Network Marketing Success Secrets: Stop Struggling and Start Thriving". Download it free here: The Secrets to MLM Network Marketing Success
