The truth about true love is we were deceived. There has been a conspiracy between the Grimms Brothers, Hans Christian Andersen, Greek Mythology, Shakespeare and those multi-millionaire music and movie producers in Hollywood. The worst part is this plot has been going for ages now. This conspiracy is so successful, it has become a belief. A belief so lived it causes insanity and even death for some. Yes, you know what I’m talking about; I’m talking about true love. Jacob and Wilheim Grimm made us believed during our school age years- true love is our savior from our misery and agony. That our prince charming will sweep us from our feet and take us into his castle and we will live happily ever after. The timeless tales of Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty made us believe that it is the answer to our prayers. And Hans Christian Andersen also made us believed true love can do a lot more than move mountains, it can make us fall in love with a different species- like in the fish family in the classic story- The Little Mermaid. The concoctions of these reading materials are so successful that even adults believe that their “Prince Charming” will come and rescue them from their tribulations. Not to mention how Homer, the brains behind the Greek Mythology tolerated to wage a 10-year war against a country in the name of love. While Shakespeare says it’s okay to kill yourself for the its glory in the famous Romeo and Juliet. So can you blame the modern times if countless of people jump off the bridge because of it? As if it’s not enough the Hollywood producers took advantage of our fascination for it and made them alive and realistic in the big screen and trigger our emotions with their melodramatic songs. This never ends; the conspiracy about it never seems to stop firing at our emotions. But the fact is true love is not just a strong, “do or die” emotion, it’s not an emotion at all. It is an act, not a noun, it’s a verb. True love- it has to be done. Another thing, true love is not guided by emotions; it should be directed by the mind. No relationship lasts based on emotions alone. To have a strong and long lasting relationship, have a relationship based on knowledge and awareness. The saying love is blind is wide of the mark, because it sees the person from within and it sees the person that it’s going to become. It sees the good and the worst of us yet never gives up because we see the potential and it is a commitment. It doesn’t tolerate death or dying like in the movies. It enjoys the gift of living, it is all about living. It’s all about making yourself better for the person you really care about not a damsel in distress who always needs rescuing on the contrary it inspires you to be a stronger and better person. True love is practical; it’s never extravagant or dreamy. It’s all about realistic goals, both partner should have practical and realistic goals in their life in order for it to have a future. True love is not a bed of roses; it only seems to feel that way because you know the person you are with discerns the exact you and still willing to live for you, not die for you.

Science is, at its core, a process—a framework for testing questions about the world with detailed and structured observations of it to gain knowledge and understanding. Contrary to what some may believe, the scientific process has always been a universal one, accessible to the common people, even if the largest and most newsworthy discoveries are usually left to those with greater time and resources. However, with modern technologies like AI, that reality is primed for rad
