Lately, more and more phone calls and e-mails from various church leaders are pouring our way. Interestingly enough that those requests are primarily coming from the US.

The US people seem to be very devoted to their church, religion and faith, which is definitely very commendable! Not only they are worshiping God and Jesus, but they are also very respectful and faithful to their leaders. We often get phone calls from somebody who inquires about voice repair on behalf of their Priest, Minister or Bishop, which is also very commendable, as those devoted people are really trying to help their peers.

The bottom line, though, is such that the above aforementioned church leaders are constantly endangering their voices (speaking and singing).

They preach a lot and preach very loudly. A lot of them are using their singing voices and, unfortunately, using them totally incorrectly! So there comes a time that both of their speaking and singing voices end up being quite compromised.

So what now?

Now even the church-goers are beginning to notice that their favourite Pastors, Bishops or Worship leaders are not sounding the same (especially while they are singing). They begin to get conce
ed about their favourite leaders’ health (and especially their vocal health).

So even the worshipers themselves are beginning to look for voice repair solutions for their mentors; and they eventually find us…

Over the years, we have treated and cured numerous church leaders by employing our very unique Vocal Science TM method and technique.

We were able to change the way they used to use their speaking and singing voices by (firstly) providing them with our very unique speech and singing exercises. For speech, we are also offering specially-selected scripts of all sorts and topics. And not only our clients employ the aforementioned exercises, but they are learning to use a “free” speech - (off-script speech and improvisation on the topic of the script), just like actors do.

The above describes the second stage of Non-Surgical Voice Repair for speakers. That stage is called “The Total Communicator Course”.

That is (after the voice is fixed) where we begin to work on emphasis and inflections, phrasing and intonations. We address the speed of the speech on the particular topic and instil understanding of what the script is all about and how it has to be presented. For those who are also using their singing voice, we developed special singing exercises which are reflecting the certain combinations of sound, duration and pitch (i.e., intervals) which could be present in any song. Then we addressed all possible situations in any songs of any kind, whereas those combinations may (and most likely will) exist.

But the above is again a second stage (after the vice repair) which is called Professional Vocal Coaching.

The church leaders are the people who definitely need to know how to save and protect their speaking and singing voices for life. If they neglect the obvious changes in their voices, they might face invasive surgical procedures, which could lead them unable not only to sing ever in their life, but also with a highly-compromised speaking voice.

So we invite you to love your voice, DEFINITELY love and worship God and, most importantly, LOVE YOURSELF!
