In recent years, the percentage of fat Women in America have been on an increase. As at 2007, 60% of Women living in America were reported to be Obese.Out of that percentage, 40% were people over or at the age of fifty (50).Older Women that are obese are more vulnerable to diseases, compared to younger women. Diseases such as, Type 2 diabetes, Obstructive sleep apnea, certain types of cancer, heart diseases and osteoarthritis. Women over the age of fifty have a high rate of disease attack due to overweight. It is therefore necessary that the amount of calorie intake should be low. Moreover, women above the age of fifty have low metabolism rate which results to fatness.
Furthermore, a woman metabolism decreases with an increase in age and certainly, losing weight becomes a difficult task for them. Also a recent study published in the 2013 edition of a clinical intervention in ageing reports that, "older overweight women who loss weight, receive vital health benefit" such as, reduce chronic disease attack. Women over 50 years require 1000 to 1200 calories per day for perfect weight lose. The national Heart, Lung and Blood Institute state that, while inactive overweight women need 1000-1600 calories to loss weight, active over weight need 1200-1600 calories each day.
In addition to maintaining a healthy weight, women over the age of 50 should Endeavor to eat the following diet.
Eat Unprocessed Food: I have always preferred eating raw food, but I never heard the ability to, because of the usual soar taste, until the day I took a bold step and started eating it. I was eating closely to about 55-65% raw food, but I just needed extra push if I was to loss weight. So I decided to move it up to 80-90% raw vegan food and I got that push after being on a program called, The 4 cycle fat solution. Just as you know, if a cooked seed and an uncooked seed are grown together, you would discover that the cooked seed would never grow, while the uncooked seed is the opposite. This is because the cooked seed have been subjected to a very high temperature like 120 degree celsius, to the extent that no nutrient is in the seed anymore. This is the same thing that happens when you eat cooked food all the time. Because cooked food has been subjected to a very high temperature, most or all of it nutrients have been lost. What you are now eating is without no nutrient but lots of calories. So even if you don't like eating raw product, just try as much as you can and you would see that very soon you would get used to it has I did. An example of such food is whole grain.
Eat Fruits and Vegetables: Diet high in fruits and vegetables may reduce the risk of cancer and other chronic diseases, according to the center of disease control and prevention. This is no surprise, considering the fact that fruits and veggies are good source of nutrient and powerhouse which are rich in vitamins, minerals, antioxidant and fiber, yet considerable low in calories. Example of such good food is pomegranate.
Soft Exercise: As older women, you don't need to participate in all kinds of exercise program. Just take a walk for about 20-45 minutes five times in a week, and you would see the miraculous way your fat would be burnt away. At least in a week if you take 7000 calories and you are able to bu
3500 calories, then that would help to reduce weight, gives you a good shape, like that of 20 years old lady and enables you to live longer and healthier.
In conclusion, for you to loss weight, you need to do the things I have mentioned above and always have a good mindset. Don't think much, because thinking would make your work futile and increase your disease rate.
