These are great because they provide a tasty way to get those essential nutrients, vitamins, minerals, and protein needed for optimum health. These are great for teens, especially, because teens tend to eat “unhealthy.” They are always on the run and many times simply don’t want to grab something healthy for a snack. This is a great way to “sneak” in those nutrients because many of the shakes can be pretty tasty. There are places you can purchase pre-mixed shakes or you can try some of the many recipes found on the Internet. Protein shakes are great for weight loss. If you can get your teen to drink a vegetable shake, this is a great way for them to get their veggies without actually eating a salad. However, the key is to find veggies they like. A trick for vegetable shakes is to add greens to a fruit smoothie. This is called a citrus and greens shakes. Smoothies These are tasty and healthy weight management supplements to include in your teen’s diet. You can get creative. Try mixing up different fruits and drink them for breakfast, lunch, or as a snack. To get you started, try a strawberry pineapple smoothie or a blueberry banana smoothie. Nutrition Bars Nutrition bars are great for teens as long as this is not the only thing they eat. Teens do not generally get enough essential nutrients in their diet and nutrition bars are an excellent way to get the iron, calcium, protein, and omega 3’s they need for optimum health. They are great alternatives to snack foods and can replace candy bars. Weight management supplements can be a healthy addition to a teen’s diet. Teaching your teen the importance of healthy eating and exercising is critical their health. Weight management supplements can be a great alternative to junk food and unhealthy snacks.
