Anxiety is part of the human makeup, it is there to help in dangerous situations and keep us out of harms way. We have all experienced panic inducing situations and as a result physical symptoms such as faster heart rate, trembling hands, increased sweating and shallow breathing can occur. In addition emotional symptoms of a anxiety attack include fear, anger and inability to think clearly. When the triggers of the anxiety recede the physical and emotional symptoms will disappear and everyday activities can resume. The issues occur when anxiety attacks occur on a regular basis; when the symptoms do not recede and the state of panic becomes regular, anxiety attack treatment needs to be sought out. When you understand the radical changes occurring within the body during an anxiety attack the emotional and physical symptoms become understandable. As the first waves of an anxiety attack happen the body responds by flooding the circulatory system with a large amount of hormones such as cortisol and epinephrine. In addition oxygen and sugar are pumped to the muscles which decreases the oxygen to the brain and increases sugar levels creating a natural “high”. These chemical changes are needed to prepare the body for the task ahead: flight or fight. As time goes by the long term consequences of constant exposure to anxiety attacks will eventually be devastating to the body, mind and soul. If an anxiety attack treatment is not found some very severe medical conditions can develop. Below is a list of some of the more serious consequences: * Respiratory Problems: Consistent rapid breathing will take its toll on your lungs which will limit oxygen from getting to your vital muscles and brain. Problems such as: agina or emphysema. * Cardiac Conditions: Cardiac issues are very common for people who experience long term anxiety attacks. For example arrhythima is a condition when the heart beats too fast or too slow and the heart is unable to supply the body with enough nutrients and blood. * Changes in Facial Features:Sufferer’s of panic tend to age more rapidly as a result of the damage to their body resulting in early graying of hair and severe wrinkles. * Suicidal Thoughts: Experiencing bodily aches and pains as well as fear will tear apart anyone making the victim feel lonely and it is not uncommon for thoughts of suicide to emerge. Studies have shown that people who suffer from anxiety attacks are far more likely to attempt suicide than those who do not. * Emotions of Derealization: This is when a sufferer goes through situations where it may seem as if they are not living their own life but are instead merely spectators. These feelings will grow stronger and eventually the sufferer will pull away from any form of social interactions. There are many options for anxiety attack treatment; there probably is not one perfect fit but a combination of different programs that will work for you. For example your cure could rely on herbal remedies and a customized treatment program. Regardless of the program you choose the process will be challenging at first; you will need to teach yourself a new way of living but the results are worth the effort and you will be living an anxiety.
