Many will have read "We are not human beings having a spiritual experience, but spiritual beings having a human experience!" This immediately aligns with a deeper awareness that many individuals feel that they are more than just flesh and bone, more than limited consciousness.nnMany sense that their very presence has always been part of a greater entity. That beyond the universe there is something which is worth knowing, which is probably the only thing worth living for, which can connect them with the Truth; something on which the universe depends but which does not depend upon the universe, something which still escapes their comprehension but which seems to be behind all things.nnSuch a feeling is the flight of aspiration, to know that, not to live in this perpetual falsehood where things are so artificial and temporary is the opportunity to re-connect with the Truth in the greater-self. The urge to re-connect stems from an inner calling to pick up from where you left off, to re-commence a journey that you had probably started many incarnations ago, a spiritual journey driven by your climbing aspiration.nnSo what triggers the renewed urge to continue the guest of inner-discovery? It may come from a simple experience, an intuitive feeling, a tragedy, reading inspiring text, the presence of a sacred image, hearing a mantra, many things. Whatever the reason a focused energy from within stirs and your life is never the same again. Behind every thought, every action, every quiet moment there it is calling you to move forward. Not content anymore with the shallowness of outer excitements and distractions you move forward to search inwardly.nnThe inner search knowing that life is now taking a new and positive direction can initially be sidetracked by stronger conditionings of bondage that sees you drawn for any amount of time away from the goal. Then the wisdom that these temptations are totally unfulfilling rises from within to turn you once again, pointing you back in the right direction onto your path to self-realisation, to enlightenment. So until your aspiration is so focused, so one pointed, so alert that you are inwardly strong enough to avoid these sidetracks you shall return again and again until you overcome them!nnSo you are a spiritual being journeying from incarnation to incarnation, experiencing each as a playground of experiences and opportunities for self-transcendence and personal growth. No longer content to simply let life pass you by your focused aspiration inspires you to feel that this search is so precious, so important that your entire life is not complete until you have acquired it. Realising now that you no longer belong to the limited "I" content only with personal satisfaction, you wholeheartedly strive to reach the distant goal, one that you must find and must know through your continued aspiration.nnSri Chinmoy the meditation teacher says, (1) " Some people are totally oblivious to the Inner Pilot. Again, some know of the existence of the Inner Pilot, but they do not want to have any connection or communion with Him. A sincere seeker feels the necessity of constant communion with the Inner Pilot. He is not satisfied by just knowing of God's existence inside him. He wants to be in God's consciousness and commune with Him twenty-four hours a day."nnRef: (1) From Sri Chinmoy's Book - The Wings of Joy.nhttp://www.srichinmoybooks.com/inspiration_reflection/the_wings_of_joy/nnBiography - Sahayak Plowman by nature is a calm, positive and happy person.
