When we are talking about the 6 secrets to success, motivation would fall under the “believe in yourself” category. Motivation is the only factor that will keep you on track when you are on the road to success. It pushes you to be better and better everyday until you achieve your goal! Strangely enough, motivation works in tandem with the power of autosuggestion. Now let’s look at the definition of both of these words to understand a bit more how they can change your life. Autosuggestion: The suggestion to oneself of ideas that produce subconscious changes in attitude, behavior, or physical condition; it’s most commonly accomplished by presenting one's mind with repetitive thoughs until those thoughts become internalized Motivation: The act or process of furnishing with an incentive or inducement to action; the incentive or inducement itself, often specifically arising from one’s own interests or desires. rnSo by using both of these concepts to your advantage, you’ll be able to achieve anything you want in life. Using the repetition of your desires is what’s going to help you. Allow me to explain by using some of my own examples. But before I continue, these desires are personal so I do not recommend sharing them with anyone. Keep them to yourself and you can reveal that your aspirations to others when they come true. I’m only sharing mine with you to really help you understand! So, here are my desires and I hope you will learn to imitate what you learn from me: 1. I have a personalized check with a certain amount of money that I plan on cashing-in on a certain date taped to the mirror in my bathroom. rn2. I have a picture of a place down south that I plan on buying and spending lots of time with my family. I put it on the sun visor in my carrn3. I have a picture of my two daughters beside my computer. This is really self explanatory because I try to be better every day for them!rn4. I also have a note of all the things I want to achieve written down on a piece of paper that I carry around with me in my wallet all of the time. And I recite it daily! (The more you say it the better…) If you noticed, these things are all placed in strategic places that I know will be visible to me throughout the day to keep me motivated all the time! And having these reminders in such strategic places allows me to factor in the repetitiveness for the autosuggestion because I see them all of the time, whether I think of it or not! Side note: You need to make sure that the desires are all things you truly want! If it’s getting a black belt in martial arts for example, have a picture of a black belt as the background on your phone. If it involves having a very fit body, have a picture of a person who’s body resembles the one you would like for yourself near the light switch in your bedroom (and it wouldn’t hurt to find out that person’s diet and workout routines and imitate them)… Trust me, this is very powerful! It can seem childish or useless at times if you don’t understand how this can change your life! Or you may have heard about this but never really did it. However, I strongly urge you to try it! Like I said, you don’t have to tell anyone and I even suggest that you don’t. Lots of people don’t understand this power and will pass judgment on you. But at the end of the day, the only person you should be worried about is YOU, so who cares if other people know or don’t know what your goals are, they will notice it when they come true! Now you know what it can do for you, so do it! Finally, I want you to choose something you really want, just one thing, and either write it down or get a picture of it and place it in a strategic place where you know you’ll see it every day. This is a very big topic and I’ll be writing more about it to show you how motivation and autosuggestion impacts the other 5 secrets. For now, make sure you set-up these reminders to tell yourself everyday that you have set your goals and that you are working on them day after day. Remember, it all starts with YOU… Cheers to the Good Life. P.S If you like what you just read then you’ll love the information I provide in my weekly e-letters.
