What Is Bootcamp?
If you’ve been looking around at the various workout programs and offerings lately, once thing that you may have come across is ‘bootcamp’ class.
This is ‘all the rage’ right now with everyone flocking to these classes and causing them to fill up in a hurry. But, are they right for you?
There’s no question that fitness trends tend to come and go at rapid speed, but bootcamps may just be something that’s here to stay for good.
Let’s take a quick peek at what you need to know about what bootcamp is and why it’s going to be beneficial to consider.
What Is Bootcamp
Basically, bootcamp is a group fitness class that typically runs outdoors, however sometimes you can find indoor variations as well. During the bootcamp, you’ll be put through a wide variety of different exercises that include both cardio based exercises as well as strength based exercises.
These include examples such as burpees, walking lunges, squats, push-ups, sit-ups, running knee highs, sprints, and so on. The end result is that you have an action packed workout that doesn’t stop.
There will be very little rest in any bootcamp class, so if you’re going to join, it’s important that you go prepared. They are definitely going to push your limits as far as your physical abilities are conce

Why Take Part In Bootcamp?
So why should you take part in a bootcamp in the first place? What are the key benefits of doing so?
First, they’re fun and fast. You can get them done in 45-60 minutes depending on the class you join and because of the group atmosphere, most people find them more enjoyable than solo workout sessions.
In addition to that, they’re going to work all aspects of your fitness level, so there’s no need to perform additional workouts on top of the bootcamp if you don’t want.
You’ll burn fat, build strength, and improve your fitness ability all at the same time. They’re really the complete solution regardless of your goals.
And finally, they’re also much more cost effective than dong one-on-one sessions with a personal trainer. Because the cost of the class is divided up by so many people who are attending, you’ll pay only a few dollars per session, making it much more feasible to get constant guidance from a trainer while you strive to reach your health and fitness goals.
So there you have the basic facts about a bootcamp class. You can either do these alone on their own or add one or two sessions per week to your usual workout program.
