Wheatgrass has been the subject of many forum topics, discussions and articles. It’s no wonder that this is the case since wheatgrass has been in use for centuries and there have been countless evidence and testimonies which prove the beneficial effect on health wheatgrass nutrients undoubtedly have. Wheatgrass has been used to treat various conditions and diseases, give rise to your energy levels, make your skin more beautiful and help bruises, scars and cuts heal faster. Wheatgrass nutrients that make all this possible are vitamins, namely A, B, C and E, enzymes, various different minerals and of course, chlorophyll which is present in wheatgrass in large quantities. Various vitamins that represent one group of wheatgrass nutrients play a vital role in ensuring that we have good eye vision, that our brains and nervous system function properly, that we fight off cold easily and that our skin looks tightened and rejuvenated among other things. Enzymes which represent another group of wheatgrass nutrients, generally, act as catalysts, which means they speed up the process of every chemical reaction. Considering that the numbers of these reactions are in the millions per second, they are irreplaceable and crucial to the proper functioning of the body. There are several different kinds of enzymes contained in wheatgrass. These are: superoxide dismutase, citochrome oxidase, lipase, amylase and protease and transhydrogenase. These enzymes make sure the digestion functions properly, our heart is strong, the fat is being burned rapidly, that we’re shielded from harmful radiation and that the detoxification of our bodies is on fast tracks. The sheer magnitude of minerals constitutes the last group of wheatgrass nutrients. There are so many that I’m going to mention the most beneficial ones starting with calcium, phosphorous, iron, copper, magnesium etc. the list goes on and on. These minerals play a huge role in many of the processes that go on in our bodies every second. They are essential to blood count building, osteoporosis prevention, improving the performance of the cells and tissues and more. Amino-acids represent another group of wheatgrass nutrients that form proteins, needed by muscles and tissues, which is why wheatgrass is coveted by gym-goers. Chlorophyll is a gem amongst wheatgrass nutrients. Wheatgrass contains around seventy percent chlorophyll which is more than any other green vegetable. It is great for detoxification, fortification of the immune system and blood circulation. Chlorophyll can be applied to problematic, acne prone skin or cuts and bruises and make them heal faster. Wheatgrass really is a wondrous plant isn’t it?
