Once you have started your business, the next thing that you are going to want to do is to advertise your product or service so that you can get some customers. Again, one of the best places to do this is on the Internet. BUT…with millions of websites how do you get people to notice you. Email signature - One of the best places to advertise is on your email signature. It's a non threatening way to advertise your business, and sometimes people click on it without even realizing what it is. Don't make it long or complicated, just let them know what it is that you do. You should create a “link” that all they have to do is click on a key word you’ve chosen and it will take them directly to your blog or website. Networks - There are plenty of networking sites around that allow home business owners to advertise their products and services. It's a good way to connect with others and meet some new friends, as well as find new clients. rnBlog - If you have a blog, advertise your business on your blog! Make sure that you choose good, solid keywords, and that you let people know what it is that you are selling. Make your advertisement stand out, make it noticeable, and make it interesting. You should write something on your blog every week if not several times per week. The key here is “getting the word out”. Forums - Not only are forums a good place to meet people, but they are also great places to advertise. There are forums that are set up simply for people to advertise their goods and services, and you will never know what you might find there. One of my favorites is the Warrior forum. This is a group of like minded people who will share with you what they have learned. Articles – Very time consuming but well worth the effort. Once you’ve written a few articles of your own you can out source them to professional companies. You tell them what title, topic and content and they put it together for you. This saves a lot of time and costs very little. However, you have got to read the articles before you send them out. I hired a company that used proper English but it wasn’t written like we talk. I had to rewrite all the articles I paid them to write. Take the time to understand how to write a good article first Above all you have got to be consistent in your online advertising. You have to work your business everyday even if it’s just a couple of hours. Stay away from the time wasters that drain your efforts. If you set a schedule of what needs to been done on a daily basis you can avoid these. Checking email and Facebook might be a necessary part of your daily routine but you don’t need to spend hours on it. Be productive on a daily basis and count the money.
