Alison received her Master’s Degree in Acupuncture from the New England School of Acupuncture in Newton, Massachusetts. She studied both Chinese and Japanese style acupuncture including many non-insertive techniques. Alison is certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and is licensed by the Massachusetts Board of Medicine.

Prior to studying acupuncture, Alison received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Assumption College in Worcester, Massachusetts. Alison worked in the laboratory for over 4 years conducting quality control testing and validation testing for cardiac, oncology, reproductive, and thyroid diagnostic tests. She continued her career in medical device consulting for 8 years coordinating clinic trials, reviewing clinical data, and preparing clinical reports for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Alison made a career change after personally experiencing the healing affects of acupuncture.
