I've travelled many places in the world and have lived in many states and outside the United States. I blend in most places I go and have been mistaken for a local on more than one occasion. I love to travel.

I'm very interested in the environment and have been for most of my life. My earliest memories are of sleeping in a tree (don't tell my mother). I've lived near forests and lakes, on the prairie and in the desert. I've lived in the mountains and now I live by the beach and the ocean. I enjoy them all, but I love the beach and the ocean the best.

My greatest joy is to see people's souls refreshed. I love to see people laugh. I love to see them beam with joy. But to see them refreshed, that's the best!

I've combined these three loves into an eco-tour company I call Yellow Bear Jou eys – based in Olympia, WA, designs, plans, and guides tours mainly in the Pacific Northwest and Hawaii with a unique focus: Restoring the hope, strength, and joy of the participants, and bringing clarity to their next step in life. Our jou eys are designed to reconnect every-day people with nature in gentle ways that allow enjoyment without overwhelming the participants. The rich, life-giving ecosystems of ocean beaches and rainforests are ideal environments to refresh those beleaguered by a modern lifestyle disconnected from nature, and those who have a nagging suspicion they’ve lost touch with their truest self and purpose.
