James Nicholas Quick Facts

Professor James Nicholas was twice nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. He founded the World Council for Global Cooperation, comprised of twelve Nobel Prize winners from twelve countries serving as directors and patrons, and was elected International Secretary of the Council. Professor Nicholas wrote an Appeal for Peace, endorsed by 66 Nobel Prize winners from twenty countries, addressed to the youth of the world. He was twice received in private audience by two former Secretary-Generals of the United Nations. He is also the author of A Global Plan For The Advancement Of Humanity and a psychology textbook entitled Approaches to Positive Living. Professor Nicholas holds an M.A. in Political Science and a BSc in Economics and taught psychology, economics, and politics at Niagara College in Welland, Ontario. He is the father of two sons and currently lives in Ottawa, Ontario.
