Mary Glen Scot Quick Facts
I am a very active member of the Al-Anon worldwide fellowship and I have held several service positions for many years above the group level. I also was the Al-Anon Chairperson for our big convention in Las Vegas for about five years, and I am now helping the Mauifest in Hawaii as the Al-Anon co-chair for the convention we have each year in May on Maui.
**
I am married to a retired Drug and Alcohol Counselor for the past ten years and we have traveled, probably half way around the world, to participate in workshops of both AA and Al-Anon. We devote our lives to helping others find the contentment, peace, and inner happiness we have both found by working a Twelve Step Program.
**
For most of my life, I devoted myself to others and their needs, and almost completely ignored my own. Today, I value my own purpose and goals; I cannot help anyone else if I do not have inner tranquility. I like to think I am a great example that it is never too late to begin life anew, and enjoy all of the happiness in life we possibly can.
