Throughout our waking life our conscious thoughts can and often make it difficult to find the answers we are looking for. Our conscious mind acts like a soldier guarding our thoughts, actions and whenever possible our emotions. When we have an extremely important decision to make and it is playing on our mind constantly, we often create anxiety, worry, doubt and confusion. The soldier is preventing us from using our intuition. Some people look for others for guidance and reassurance. Even after receiving this information, people wait and wonder, hoping for a positive outcome.
We are all highly intelligent, intuitive beings and can in fact have the answers we are looking for within our own mind. To do that, it is important to put that doubting soldier to sleep.
As we lay in bed we often think about our day. Some people find it difficult to fall asleep right away because their mind is racing with thoughts. It is for this reason; this is the time to be productive with your thoughts. Instead of thinking, worrying or stressing, ask yourself to receive your answer in your dream.
This is what you do. As you lay quietly form a question in your mind you would like to ask. Once you have the precise question begin to ask it through your thoughts. Such question may be "If I am to go in this direction, please show me the color blue. If I am to go in that direction please show me the color red. Make the color very significant and help me to remember it in the morning." For those people who have a difficult time recalling color in their dream they can ask a question such as this "If I am to go in this direction please show me a playground. If I am to go in that direction please show me a beach." Color or animate/inanimate objects work very well.
Our mind tends to play out our day through our dream state. Our brain is constantly working and many people learn and retain information during their sleep. It is for this reason it is important to qualify your answer by asking either or. If we were to only ask for one response, and we were to receive it, we may doubt the answer because it was the only thing we were thinking about. By dreaming of only one of the two possible answers, it adds validity to the information.
I am a person of faith and therefore the first time I ask the question I think it in the form of a prayer after I have given my thanks. Then I proceed to ask the question slowly and deliberately. After the first time, I then repeat the question two more times (worded the exact same way). I repeat the question three times because it helps to program the mind to transfer it into dream state and allow the intuitive information to flow. (What our mind was exposed to often transfers into dream state). When you wake up in the morning, you have your answer. It is easy to get the answer; the hard part is trusting it!
For those who have a difficult time recalling dreams, it is okay. One of two things can be done. First you can train yourself to remember your dream by creating a routine of writing down the last thing you remember when you first wake up. Have a pad and a pen beside you each night. When you wake up, lie perfectly still, grab your pad and pen and write down what you remember. In time, you can recall your dreams vividly. Another option is to be open to patterns or answers throughout your day. As an example, if you asked for blue to be one of your colours, you may in fact see or be aware of lots of blue throughout your day. You may wear blue, see an overwhelming amount of blue or hear people talking about decorating in blue. When this happens and it is apparent, it can in fact be your answer.
People receive inspiration, ideas and solutions through their dreams all the time. Many scientists, scholars and inspirational people trust their dreams and know, by a feeling, what they dreamt is important. With that said, open up your world and your mind by utilising the power of dreaming.
Have a fantastic day and keep smiling that gorgeous smile of yours!
