There is no single food that can provide you with total protection from diseases such as cancer, diabetics and heart ailments. However, scientists hold on to the belief that a proper combination of the right foods specially eating a plant based diet is good for healthy living. Research on healthy living has been done that revealed that vegetables, whole grains and fruits are essential foods for maintaining a healthy lifestyle. These foods have been known to stop the growth of tumors and scientists are still experimenting to find the reason why. Below is a list compiled by Oakland At Home Care that shows the 10 best foods for healthy living:

1. Beans

Beans are also known as legumes and they include peas and lentils. They are known to be rich in fiber, which makes them a perfect substitute for red meat. Beans contain active ingredients that Oakland Parkinson’s Care believes plays a big role in the prevention of cancer. Some of the ingredients include phytic acid, saponins and protease inhibitors. 2. Berries

4. Green Tea
