10 Facts To Improve Your Article Writing - Part 1 Of 2

I get a lot of the same questions on writing articles; what type is best, how long should they be, titles, etc. Because my subscribers are asking these questions, I suppose that many people who are new to writing articles have the same questions. Following is a list of 10 facts that answer many of your questions on article marketing.

1) ‘How to’ articles are always very popular. Many people read articles to learn something. Teaching them to perform a task using ‘How To’ articles is a very effective way to increase page views for your articles.

2) Great articles have great titles. Your title is the advertising for your article. A good title almost compels them to read further.

3) Always check your spelling and grammar. Most word processors today come with a good spelling and grammar checker, make sure you use it on every article.

4) Write short, interesting articles of about 400-700 words. They didn’t come to read a novel!

5) More people read articles on weekdays than on weekends. I guess this says a lot about our work ethic!

6) Fewer articles are submitted on weekends. (I hope that people aren’t writing articles at work too!)

7) More links are not necessarily better. If you are writing articles for traffic or income, 2 or 3 are all you need. Any more than that and people will not click on them.

8) Write about only one thing, in ever-deepening detail. That way, you’ll become an acknowledged expert in your field and gain a faithful following of readers.

9) Educate your readers. In most cases, they clicked on your article to learn something.

10) And I saved the best for last. After your 300th article, business may be pretty good, but you still won’t be making a livable wage. (Uhhh!)
