The greeting cards you design on your own can be as attractive and meaningful as store-brought cards, if these simple design principles are applied.

2. Select the format – Before starting with design of the card, think about what sort of card you want to create: serious, funny, side fold, top fold or over-sized etc. For this, you should have a clear vision to determine for what occasion and for whom you are making the card.
