10 Ways to Nourish your Spirit.

Do you monitor your physical/financial condition like an expert but are still having problems.
Well you may have spiritual malnutrition. Some signs you may be spiritually malnourishednare:

1.Feeling numb- nothing excites you anymore. You’ve seen it all heard it all.
2.Feeling Overloaded-avoiding friends and family because you can’t take hearingntheir problems or don’t want to commit to something you simply cannot do anyway.
3.Wishing you could move far away with your nearest neighbor 100 miles or more.
4.All you do is go to work and look forward to being behind your closed home doorsnbut when you get home you feel so bored.
5.You can’t remember the last time you had an encouraging talk to yourself.
6.Time seems like it is moving so fast. Friends tell you about events you meant tonattend, etc.
7.You have worked so hard to get where you are but lately you wonder if this isnall there is to this there has to be more.

If you have some or all of these symptoms and want to totally nourish your spirit here are
10 ways to make your spirit feel new.

1.

Spend at least an hour a week in a natural setting, away from crowds of people, traffic and buildings. Three to four hours of nature time each week is even better. There is nothing more basic, more simple, than the natural world.

2. Do whatever you need to do to connect with a sense of spirit in your life, whether it be prayer, religious services, journal writing, meditation or spiritually-related reading. Simplicity leads to spirituality; spirituality leads to simplicity. Cultivate a practice of silence and solitude, even for 15 to 30 minutes a day. Your spirituality will evolve naturally.
3. Seek the support of others who want to simplify their lives. Join or start a simplicity circle if you enjoy group interaction. Living simply in our culture can be a lonely journey. Your friends and family may still be on the work-n-spend treadmill and are unlikely to give you support. Participating in a study group will give you support and validation for your choices.
4.Practice saying no. Say no to those things that don’t bring you inner peace and fulfillment, whether it be more material things, greater career responsibility or added social activities. Be vigilant with your time and energy; they are limited resources. If you say yes to one thing (like a job promotion), recognize that you are saying no to something else (perhaps more time with family). Live consciously and deliberately.
5.Purchase a disposable camera and, in a single day, take photos of things in your life that you are grateful for. Put the prints in a mini book that you can carry with you.
6.Go to your favorite restaurant order a meal and give it away to some less fortunate than you are and say thank you for letting me nourish my spirit.
7.Stop a few times a day and just breath and say (I am so grateful to god or thenuniverse because I am so fortunate.
8.Get connected
A solo walk with just you and your thoughts can be deeply satisfying, but don't overlook the importance of walking with a friend or loved one.

9.Take a relaxing aromatherapy bath with candles in the dark and playnan affirmation tape,or your favorite religious tape.

10. Take time out to collect some fruit any fruit you like. Then cut itnup make a natural fruit salad to enjoy from the earth. Thank god ornthe universe that you are able to enjoy such simple abundance.
11. Learn to laugh thats right laugh. Think of something funny and laughnsome more and enjoy.
