11 Questions for Fun Conversations

Kicking off a conversation can be tough, especially in social situations where people are more interested in fun conversations. It's even tougher if you do not know your conversation partners well or are relatively shy by nature. Usually, the best way to kick off a conversation is with a good question, and in that spirit, here are 11 fun conversation starter questions. #1 - If you could have a day entirely to yourself, what would you do with it? This is a great question to get your counterpart thinking and fantasizing about a perfect day, and will likely offer you the chance to reciprocate with your own perfect day. #2 - What are some of the books that have had the most influence on you? This conversation starter helps you get an idea of your counterpart's personality and gauge the depth of his or her intellectual rigor. #3 - Where is the one place you want to travel to before you die? This is another question that will get your counterpart working their imagination, and the conversation that usually follows is a great way to compare ideas on ideal vacation destinations. #4 - Who are the three historical figures you would have over for a dinner party? This is also a great music question that helps you get a sense of the other person's tastes. #11 - Which do you like better, seeing the sun rise, or the sun set? This is one of those questions that will make your conversation partner think, but that will also keep things light during the conversation.
