I wish you all the fulfillment that you desire in this new year of 2006. Before we get into too much of this year, and perhaps even before any resolutions have already been washed away in the tide of duties and responsibilities and all the flotsam of life, I invite you to take a moment and think about what I have just wished you.

What does fulfillment mean to you – and what will it mean to have it during this year? Only you can answer that question; I can only answer it for myself. So, allow me to tell you about mine, and you can think about yours.

No matter how fulfilled I feel, as I have done in the year just gone, there always seems to be more possibilities. In 2006, I will feel greater fulfillment when my latest book, Recipes for Inner Peace, is in the hands of many more people, and when I hear that it has made a difference to their lives. I will feel more fulfillment when I have a greater sense that the work I have been doing for the past thirty years is at last makings its mark.

The tangible things I am doing over the next year include the training of more people to become Emotional Fitness coaches, the presentation of my work at various conferences, including the American and Canadian Counselling Association conference in Montreal at the end of March. The opportunity to bring the tools of Emotional Fitness to a wide audience of professional counsellors is one that I relish and can only bring a greater sense of achievement.

It is hard for me to envision how much more fulfilled I could be in my relationship with my wife, Nicole. It is for ever a wonder that I am so blessed with the shared love that we have. And yet, I believe that this year will bring even greater joy, simply, perhaps because it is another year. Our travels in 2005 to England and then Italy and the Mediterranean showed us again how much we enjoy each other’s company wherever we are.

So, if you have been musing over what brings you fulfillment as you read this, and if you think that you could gain more in 2006, take a look at what the Centre for Inner Balancing can offer you. A browse through the Websites will allow you to see the events and opportunities open to you. You can listen to excerpts of Recipes for Inner Peace, plus an interview and even take a brief coaching session with me on the audio CD with a couple of clicks of your mouse. You can take a course, either in person or at a distance, on your own or with a small group. You can train to become a coach. If you are in a corporate or professional or educational setting, you can invite me or another Emotional Fitness Instructor to give a presentation or workshop.

No resolutions need be made. Simply take the path to your own greatest fulfillment.
