Olympic game is the king of all sporting events in the world. It has rich and glittering history to its credit and rapidly growing year after year in nook and corner of the world. The Olympic Games 2012, which is officially known as “Games of the XXX Olympiad” or London 2012 Olympic Games are set to be the grandest affair in Olympic history since inception. This time, it is set to be held in London, England, the most charming and livable cities across the world. London was declared as the host city after several round of voting and defeating other cities including New York, Paris, Moscow and Madrid by scoring in every areas of eligibilities. London Olympic is scheduled to be held during 27 July to 12 August in 2012 as decided by the International Olympic Committee (IOC). London Olympic Games will witness 10500 athletes from 204 countries for 26 events which includes 302 spectacular events throughout the game. In order to enjoy this lifetime sporting extravaganza , people from across the world are eagerly waiting and some of them have already started buying tickets for this game. The ticket prices are fixed by jointly by the host country and Olympic committee and the minimum ticket price for the London Olympic Games are 20 pounds and the maximum is 2000 pounds for the opening ceremony which will be the mix of sports and glamour at the same stage under one roof. This time, Olympic organizers are expecting to sell 8 million tickets and 1.5 million tickets for the Paralympic Games . There was a huge demand for tickets from the day the organizers have started to sell on 22 March 2010. People have been showing a great interest for all football matches so they are selling more tickets for football followed by swimming and wrestling. In order to make this event historic and quite memorable organizers are leaving no stone unturned like they have put a countdown clock at the famous Trafalgar Square showing the numbers of days and time left for the mega event. There is a historic Olympic torch rally will be held during 19 May to 27 July 2012 just before the game begins starting from Greece on 19 May 2012. This torch rally will lay emphasis on various memorable issues regarding National Heritage sites, locations and venues with sporting significance , important sporting events, city locations, festivals and events in order to make people from outside informed. The opening ceremony is creatively designed by the Oscar award winning Director Danny Boyle and Queen Elizabeth 2 will officially open the games at the opening ceremony.
