The 3 BIG Mistakes Most Spiritual and Conscious Entrepreneurs Make

There is something so amazing about following your heart and stepping out into the world to help people. There are so many opportunities to give, to share, to heal, to help and to follow our passion, but often when we step out into the "real world" of creating a business, we find that we can be overwhelmed with where to start or even how to start.
We put together a list of the 3 big mistakes we have seen spiritual and conscious entrepreneurs make (and admittedly these are mistakes that we have made and have learned so much from).
1.Saying YES to everything.
"Learn to say 'no' to the good so you can say 'yes' to the best." ~John C. Maxwell
When we are in business for ourselves it can become easy to fall into the "saying yes to everything" trap.
It may be that our spiritual center or the latest book told us to say yes to everything that comes up, so we do and before we know it, there is so much on our plate that we don't know where to start or even how to begin to prioritize everything. As a result, we become paralyzed, trying to put out the little fires and forgetting to grow and nurture our business.
The important thing to do before we say yes to anything is to check in and connect with our Inner Guidance ("Intuition", "The Still Small Voice Within", our "Gut" or anything else you choose to call it), and see if it truly feels like the right thing for you.
And remember, sometimes saying, "Yes" to life is saying, "No".
2. Trying to help everyone.
"I don't know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everybody." ~Bill Cosby
It feels great to help people; in fact it is why you got into business in the first place. And you figure that the broader your message, the more people you will be able to help, but ironically the opposite is true. If you try to reach everyone, you will actually reach no one.
Getting more specific about whom you best help and the exact problem you help them with, will help guide you toward who your ideal client is. Knowing who your ideal client is allows you to speak more clearly to the people you desire to help. Which in turn, allows them to hear your message clearly and thereby recognize that YOU are the one that can help them.
3. Not grounding the spiritual in the physical.
"Some people are so heavenly minded that they are no earthly good" ~Oliver Wendell Holmes
This is a big one and often gets spiritually minded entrepreneurs and healers into trouble with their business.
Yes, we are spiritual beings having a human experience, but it is important to remember that we give to, share with, heal and help others in the physical world.
The people you desire to help really do desire to be helped. And the quickest way to reach them, so you can help them, is to understand specifically what your client or customer needs and offer them tangible results that you can explain in a language that your ideal client can easily understand.
Authentic Assignment
We invite you to spend some time this week looking at your business to see if you are making any of the 3 mistakes. If you are, don't beat yourself up. Remember awareness is the first step, and now you can begin taking your giving, sharing, healing and helping - your business - to the next level.
It is a beautiful and noble thing you are doing by sharing your gifts with the world, and we are honored to be walking this path with you.
