Are you struggling with anxiety related issues? While there are many potential causes, anxiety is something that we "create" in our minds by the way we (sub consciously) control and direct our minds. Learning to take back control of your thoughts is one of the most powerful things you can do. Not just to overcome anxiety but to help you gain that level of control in your life where you feel like you are in charge. Lets face it; feeling like you are not in control of your life can cause you to freak out.
Events come and go and there are a lot of things you do not have control over. However, the one thing that you always have control over is your mind. Every second of every day your mind is engaged in a process that evaluates what goes on around you. Its what assigns meaning to events and circumstances. Learning to find empowering meanings rather than allowing your old mental pattens control you is an all important step to take in regaining the power in your life.
So, how do you do this? Well, there are a number of ways. Many spiritual practices like meditation or prayer can help you to find that calmness inside and find that power within that can help you be in control. On a more practical level there is a simple yer powerful technique that you can use.
Affirmations is something that's been around since the beginning of time and what we do with affirmations is to affect our subconscious mind. You can quite literally "command" your mind with affirmations.
Here are 3 affirmations that can help you overcome stress and anxiety.
* I am divinely guided, guarded and protected. All is well and I am safe.
This affirmation will help you feel safe and believe that you are protected and that "someone" is looking out for you - even if it does not seem like it.
* In my world nothing ever goes wrong.
If you think back at your life, wasn't some of the worse things the greatest blessings? In every seemingly bad situation lies a blessing. In your world nothing goes wrong and even if it seems like its "wrong" now the blessing will become clear soon.
* I am calm, in control and the master of my own mind.
This affirmation will help you to settle down and take back control if your thoughts start running away with you. By simply saying to yourself "I am calm" you already get calm and if you say it worth meaning your mind will respond.
