The contestant on The Biggest Loser have a huge advantage. Not only do they have the best of the best to help them with diet and exercise, but the whole support system behind it is what probably helps them more than anything else. Having their entire focus on losing weight is the real secret to losing weight and creating amazing transformations like that.
For most of us who do not have the privilege to dedicate and entire month to losing weight (and nothing else) the challenge is in focus and motivation more than anything else. How many times did you start to create change and lose weight only to have life get in the way. How many times did the stresses and strains of every life get in the way and drag you back to your old habits?
In the end losing weight is not rocket science. We all know what we need to do. It’s not about knowing what to do but rather about doing what you already know. Staying motivated and not getting distracted is the key to sticking with it and making the change. If you keep doing what you’ve always done, you will keep getting what you’ve always gotten.

Whether you eat more than you have to or whether you eat too much of what you know you shouldn’t it boils down to an unhealthy relationship to food. In The Biggest Loser one of the first changes they make within the contestants is to change their relationship to food. You too need to start by making this important leap.
By simply changing the way you feel about food and the way you think and act towards food, you can make some very positive changes that will not only make you lose weight automatically, but it will help you change your health for the better. Being overweight is not just about the way you look. It’s about the way y feel and the quality of life you get out of it. Hating your body and not feeling like this is the best “you” is no way to live your life.
Losing weight is something that we are all capable of. If the most stubborn people can lose sixty or seventy pounds then you can also do it. It’s within you to lose that excess weight. You simply have to find the motivation and the inspiration and stick with it.
