Without it, you might not get where you want to be, and you might, but you’ll get there a lot slower and possibly with damage to your wheels 2. SMART goal. Having a specific, measurable, attainable, relevant and time-bound goal is critical to focus. If you don’t know the measure of your success and how it’s progressing, you are left to your own self-judgment, and usually people are too hard on themselves and drain themselves with self-judgment. With measures, you know where you are and how much attention and energy you need to focus to get to the finish line on time to celebrate your victories. 3. Commitment – A willingness to do what it takes to get to the finish line, and to fulfill the purpose you have established in step one, regardless of if you get to the finish line on time this time around.
