“3 Ways to Find God”

There are three ways of finding God, the Universe, and Great Spirit but only one will last a person a lifetime.

First, there is the way of the skydiver that dives into something headfirst and never looks back. Have you ever been skydiving? I have, it was a great experience but I will not do it again because the thrill is no longer there for me. And that’s exactly what happens for people who dive headlong into spirituality they sooner or later become disenchanted and give up and let it all go. I have seen this over and over so many times it’s amazing.

Second, there is the person who picks only those special fruits from the tree of spirituality and savors those fruits, but he is not willing to look at the whole tree. Sooner or later they no longer want to partake of the tree because they no longer find it satisfying. It’s kind of like loving rice and wanting nothing else until one day you get sick of eating rice and can’t stand it. I have seen this happen times.

Third, there is the person who slowly partakes of every aspect of spirituality and enjoys every part, every morsel. A person who chews slowly developing taste buds for every part of their spiritual journey. They enjoy the wholeness of their spiritual journey no matter what the outcome. If good comes from their journey great… if good comes to them later great. If there is pain and suffering during their journey so they will learn and grow to become a better person along the way—great. Thus they stick to their path and see every aspect of their path as something important. Plus they have great gratitude as they traverse their path. They know that every single thing Great Spirit brings their way is for the greatest good.

Fourth, there are those that mix and match the three paths to make one path that meets their needs. But those who bring in more of the third way stick to their path— and find great contentment.

But in general, there are as many paths as there are people none of them are the same. They all have special lessons to be learned along the way. Some have more hills to climb, others have more valleys to traverse, but they all eventually make their way to God, the Universe, and Great Spirit one way or another.

Many Blessings to Everyone!
