With the most recent step of lockdown lifting, many businesses are opening their doors for the first time in months

There’s a lot we’ve missed in the past year. Meeting up with friends, grabbing a drink, travelling, shopping, even catching up with colleagues in the office, and of course visiting some of our favourite attractions and venues. Now that the vaccination programme is rolling out across the UK, restrictions are finally beginning to lift. If all goes to plan, this summer will see restrictions reach their greatest level of easing since the pandemic began in early 2020. This means that many attractions and businesses which have been closed for months will once again be opening their doors to the general public. There will of course be many restrictions in place to ensure that these venues which are opening are as safe as possible, including the implementation of handstations for hygiene. Handstations are, as the name suggests, dispensing stations which allow users to sanitise their hands, helping to avoid the spread of Covid and other diseases. Handstations are becoming increasingly common in light of the pandemic, and are available from Handstations.co.uk.So now that restrictions are beginning to lift, what can you do now that you couldn’t do before? What venues should you be adding to your list of places to visit this spring and summer? Don’t worry, we’ve got the full list for you below.

Theatres

You can now catch a show at the theatre, whether you’re into Shakespeare or musicals.

Concert halls

Concert halls will once again be filled with sweet music as restrictions ease.

Indoor dining

You no longer have to shiver in the cold or dodge the rain when you’re out for dinner, as indoor dining resumes.

Cinemas

Film buffs can rejoice as cinemas open their doors for screenings once again.

Museums

You can now get your dose of culture and history by familiarising yourself with the latest exhibits.

Galleries

From classical art to modern sculpture, galleries are open again to broaden your horizons and boost your creativity.

Conference halls

Businesses are able to book conferences and team meetings in designated spaces again, providing the event itself follows the necessary safety rules.

Trade shows

Whether it’s for businesses, for car lovers, or any other niche, trade shows are recommencing as of this spring, meaning people can once again gather together to share passions and ideas.

Hotels

Hotels have had a particularly difficult time during lockdown, thanks to the limits on indoor gatherings as well as a lack of travel, but they are now open again for travellers to enjoy.

B&Bs

Like hotels, B&Bs are also open, so you can catch a comfortable stay and a hot meal again.

Group exercise classes

While gyms have been open since April, group classes are only just beginning again, meaning the likes of Spinning, Zumba and CrossFit can get back on track.

Bowling alleys

There’s nothing quite like getting a strike, and you can chase that high again now that bowling alleys are reopening their doors to the general public.

Escape rooms

It might sound like a cruel joke after the events of the past year, but you can once again pay to experience being trapped in a room that you can’t easily escape.

Soft play centres

The kids can also benefit from the recent lockdown liftings. Soft play areas are a childhood staple, and are now open for kids to run and play to their heart’s content.

Not only that! You can also enjoy:
