Do you have thoughts on positive thinking and its effect on your life? Or do you just live to get by, working and working and not giving your own mental and emotional health much thought? The truth is, your thoughts on positive thinking may be more significant to you and your life than you thought. Positive thinking is an essential part of human life. Studies have shown that people who are more optimistic live longer compared to those who indulge in negative thinking. Even the Law of Attraction states that, in basic terms, what you think about will, sooner or later, be delivered to you. This means the more you think about the positive stuff, the more that positive things will happen to you. So what are the secrets to thinking positive? THOUGHTS ON POSITIVE THINKING #1- DUMP THE DEPRESSING LOSERS There are no true secrets, actually -- just natural common sense. The first step in order for you to have an unimpeded supply of positive thoughts is to stop hanging out with wet blankets and get yourself some new friends. This sounds harsh, but if you like hanging around people who make you feel down, then that's all you'll ever be -- down there, wallowing in the cold with your loser friends. Snap out of it. If you can't get your friends to just let loose and go to the bright side with you, then you cut yourself loose from them. THOUGHTS ON POSITIVE THINKING #2- GET MOTIVATED TO BE HAPPY Also, keep in mind that even if interaction with people is essential to one's healthy well-being, you must also understand that the first step to completeness is to learn how to take care of yourself. When applied to positive thinking, this means that you should first learn how to motivate yourself and cheer yourself up. You must at least have your own innate capacity for self-motivation and picking yourself up. You can't be a source of strength for other people if you can't first and foremost be strong for yourself. THOUGHTS ON POSITIVE THINKING #3- START SHOWING GRATITUDE Gratitude plays a big part in developing a positive attitude. Feeling thankful for your blessings attracts more things for you to be thankful for, which in turn makes you feel better, happier and more positive! Even if what you've got isn't much, it can be increased a hundred fold by being thankful for it. THOUGHTS ON POSITIVE THINKING #4- AVOID THE WEEPIES Stay away from sad, depressing music, colors, movies, novels, etc. They're beautiful to indulge in every once in a while, like bingeing on junk food or a deliciously sinful piece of cake in the middle of a diet. But if you wallow in these things regularly, then you might as well get a razor and cut yourself. There is no use living like a zombie. There are those who actually love this and revel in this, so analyze yourself carefully. Does this make you feel good about yourself? If you just feel miserable, then put an end to it. Many studies have proven that thoughts on positive thinking actually lead more people to success. Being in a positive mood leads one into a more constructive and productive state while being in a negative mood stimulates lethargy and hopelessness. Thinking positively is indeed an important key to living a better life, and to keep one's heart healthy, it is better to fill a person's life with thoughts on positive thinking. Like the characters from a well-loved Disney movie, keep singing "Hakuna Matata." Try hanging out with happier people who live healthier and more productive lives. Do what makes you feel good. It might be scary at first to go out of your comfort zone but it will turn to exhilaration once you realize that it makes you a better person. Happiness and success aren't just mere accidents or miracles- they begin with a choice: creating thoughts on positive thinking.
