Here I am giving you some tips which will be remarkable to make the cellar design. You need to follow some important factors to make the cellar, and these are temperature, humidity, light exposure and many more things. Not only this, you need to know the proper temperature of red wines and white wines. To know various factors of designing this, follow the below section.

Storing wines:

To keep the original taste of the wine, you need to follow some factors in case of designing wine room construction. It is not complicated to follow. Let’s have a look!

  • Arrange the bottles horizontally:

You may have seen that wine bottles are generally stored in the wine racks horizontally. Some people keep this vertically to show the labels of the bottles. The problem is with the corks. That means when you store the bottles horizontally, the corks get the touch of the wines. And, for this, it will never dry off. And, when you store the bottles vertically, the bottles will not get the touch of the corks and it will shrink. When the corks shrink, oxygen automatically enters into the bottle and it will ruin the taste of the original wine.

It is applicable to the natural cork of the wine. But if you want to use metal, plastic and rubber corks, there is no need to keep the bottles horizontally. You can use this, as by using this you can save the space of the cellar. And saving space is an important factor when you install the popular contemporary wine cellars in a restaurant.

  • Store wines in proper temperature:

If you have read and white wines, you need to maintain the temperature for both of the wine. It is best to keep the cellar temperature in 55 degrees Fahrenheit. A little rise or fall of the temperature can harm the wine’s taste. It is informed to you that you need to keep the bottles at least 70 degrees Fahrenheit. One thing more is that, if you frequently change the temperature, it will affect the wine’s taste. In addition to this information, keep the wine cellar away from your kitchen as the aroma of the food can effectively distaste the wine. Never store the wines in too many cold areas; it will also affect the wine’s taste. When you expose your bottles, just shake a bit. And, don’t open it in too much cold and too much hot climate. If you maintain all of these points you can hold the wine’s age for a long time.

  • Need to control the humidity:

Like the steady temperature, you need to have a constant humidity level of the cellar. It is very much important when you are discussing wine room construction designs as the steady humidity can keep the wine’s taste. The best humidity range is 50 to 80 per cent. Store the bottles in a proper humidity level so that the cork can moist enough to keep the air out. Too much of the humidity or the low level of humidity can ruin wine’s taste. And, then it will be a great loss for the restaurant owners.

  • Keep dark environment and maintain vibrations:

Heat and air exposure can equally affect in wine’s maturity. Light, especially sunlight can ruin the wine and can distaste it. Though most of the bottle uses tinted glass, especially the dark green, dark blue and black, you need to keep the storage place dark. You can only set lights which have low power such as LED. In addition to this, you need to maintain the vibration a frequent movement of the wine. Vibrations from the kitchen or vibration from the music box can harm the wine. It is better to keep these items away from the cellar.

Bottom Line:

Decorate your restaurant’s space to install the wine cellar. Choose the best area for installing this. You need to pay close attention to the above points. Get ready to make this by following the above points.
