Now do you know that the most popular month for people to take up a gym membership is January? Oh come on now, that’s the time of resolutions but another interesting thing is that 14% of women drop out in the first year while the dropout percentage in men is 8%. Well that means resolutions don’t last a lifetime, after all, a New Year means new resolutions! Number 1. The Fashionista: We already told you that gyms are a big business but did we forget to mention that gym wear is another industry flourishing right now? Alright, that’s exactly how things are and the future is even brighter with the forecast to be worth $221 billion in 2024! Where do you think the profits are coming from?rnWomen, OBVIOUSLY! There are many women who feel the need to look ahead in fashion even when they are just going for a workout. But then that’s the entire idea of the gym wear industry- to make you look good while you sweat it out! Now they’d not even shy away from wearing yoga pants while out for a jog because hello, it’s fashionable! Number 2. The Yogi Yoga has become very popular in the recentrnyears and hence the followers have increased multifold! While most of them would practice in a yoga class with soft music and incense, some of them can strike a pose anywhere! Like the women in the gym with their yoga mats tucked in a corner, flexing their bodies into unbelievable postures while avoiding the stench and grunts of the weightlifters! Quite a talent we should say! Number 3. The Miss Clueless: Easy to identify, the Miss Clueless is generally seen in January when the hangover of New Year’s resolution is pretty high! You can see her in painfully new gym wear with white trainers to match that are so white that you’ll need shades to just look at them. Was that a bad joke, just bear with us! So these lost souls are generally clueless about how the equipment works and end up using them incorrectly. More often than not, they end up with an injury as well!rnIn case you spot her at the gym, be kind and help her out. You were a newbie once, remember? Number 4. The Selfie Queen: How many times have you come across a woman at the gym who seemed more interested in showing her workout regime on social media than actually getting on with it? Never is not the answer here! When the likes of Kylie Jenner, Karlie Kloss and Khloe Kardashian are setting the trend of gym selfies you can well imagine the rest of the women in the world to follow suite! These women won’t consider it a good workout unless she has snapped it for her Instagram account. We understand ladies, you like to get clicked but nobody wants to end up in the background with their sweaty faces providing a stark contrast to your perfect hair and makeup! How many of these women have you encountered?
