If you have been reading the previous three articles in this series of 10, by now, you should have the understanding that everything is made up of a vibrating energy, everything and everyone has its own unique rate of vibration, and vibration correlates with consciousness and spirituality. In effect: the higher one’s vibration, the more expanded is one’s consciousness and the more spiritual one is.
For those interested in expanding their consciousness or advancing their spirituality, which is the same thing, it’s helpful to understand some of the influences that are holding our vibration down. As well, it’s helpful to recognize when something is either raising or lowering our vibration. How can we do this? It’s pretty easy, really.
We have a built-in guidance system in this regard…it’s called the emotions. All of the emotions, regardless of the labels that we apply to them, fall into two camps: those that make us feel good and those that make us feel bad. So, if something we are thinking about or something we are doing makes us feel good, our vibration is rising. Conversely, if our thoughts or behaviours make us feel bad, our vibration is falling.
So, what are some of the vibration downers? Here are some of the major ones and I’m sure you’re not very surprised to hear what most of these are:
All of us have had many lives from which we carry a great deal of baggage. This baggage is buried very deeply in our unconscious mind, and we are unaware of nearly all of it. For example, if we were victims, we are probably carrying some amount of anger or resentment. If we have been perpetrators, we are likely carrying some guilt feeling or shame. Until this baggage is released, our vibration is being held down.
Here are some other downers, some of which will be dealt with in upcoming articles: • Limiting beliefs • Stress • The Ego. I’ll elaborate on this one in the next article • Six major 3rd Density systems, which will be the subject of article # 6 • And then we have some of our favourites:
o Physical and emotional attachmentsrn o Criticismrn o Judgmentrn o Angerrn o Resentmentrn o Guilt feelingr
And the list goes on.
I don’t think any of these are strangers to you and I’m sure you can add to the list. I can imagine, as well, that you are probably working to reduce some of them.
The bottom line here is that anything we think about or any action that we undertake that violates another, is fear-based or makes us feel bad, is lowering our vibration and is inhibiting our advancement, both as individuals and as a species.
Now, if you are interested in learning more about these vibrational downers and how we can deal with them, you can always grab a copy of my book on Spirituality, which, with its many reviews, can be seen on my website at: http://www.peterhdennis.com/Book_-_Spirituality:_Understanding_It_and_Pursuing_It.php .
