This is the 2nd post in my series to give you the Keys to Unlocking Your Power and Presence as a Woman Leader.

What’s needed to create better work-life balance and well-being so you can shine more brightly? Here is step one that you need to know in order to expand your power and presence as a leader:

Step 1: Identify Your Core Values. When you can identify the values and principles that are *really* important to you, they become the “true north” of your compass. This “true north” is the way and the truth of your heart. These core values help you to further prioritize your goals so you can say Yes and No, more effectively to the requests, tasks and information that is continually coming at you. This will help reduce your feelings of overwhelm; create greater peace of mind, and clarity to see the bigger picture of your path forward.

What are your Top Ten core values?
The ones that you can’t live without and wouldn’t think of compromising (except for when you do…)? Mine include: creativity, making a difference through service, freedom & independence, animals & nature, family & friends, learning & growth.
“To find the balance you want, this is what you must strive to become. You must keep your feet grounded so firmly on the earth that it’s like you have 4 legs instead of 2. That way, you can stay in the world.

But you must stop looking at the world through your head. You must look through your heart, instead.”

~ Elizabeth Gilbert

Question to ponder: What have you been saying YES to which hasn’t honored your core values? What do you need to say NO to in order to have more of what you want in your life?

If you’re ready to unlock your power to achieve everything that is important to you, then email me http://www.nectarconsulting.com/contact-us/ and tell me what you’re struggling with.
