How many times have you sat and wondered why you even bother having a website, since you aren't getting much in the way of sales from it. You may have all kinds of traffic visiting the website, and a lot of these people may even be leaving great comments about the site, yet they leave without buying anything. This can be for a number of reasons, and here are five ways that you can turn this around and get the sales you are looking for: Information is difficult to find: You need to make sure that your website is designed in a way that makes it easy for everyone to use, even those who don't have the greatest computer skills. If your website is difficult to navigate, and information is hard to find, your potential customers will probably get fed up and look elsewhere, and you will lose sales. Create a user-friendly website, and you will see a big difference in your sales. Buying from you must be easy: It is important to create your website in a way that it makes it easy for customers to be able to make purchases. Make sure that you include all shipping costs, and that they are reasonable. Offer a few different methods of payment, such as credit cards and Paypal so they always have options. Be flexible, and you will find that your customers will really appreciate it, and they will be more apt to buy from your website. Provide excellent customer service: No one wants to do business with a company that does not provide great customer service. Customers who feel that they have been slighted because they did not get answers to their questions, couldn't get refunds, etc very quickly will cease to do business with you. It won't cost you a thing to offer great customer service, but the rewards will be great. Have a professional looking website: If your website looks like it was designed by a child, you can pretty much be assured that most people are not going to take you seriously, or give your website a second glance. If web design is not your area of expertise, don't try to create your own website. Instead, hire a professional web designer to do the job for you, and you will have a great looking website that is attractive to potential customers. Have compelling and persuasive copy: If you don't have anything on your website that is going to interest people, they will quickly jump to the next website that offers similar products or services. Make sure that the pages on your website are loaded with compelling and persuasive copy that is easy to read, and very informative. It is a really good idea to have a professional copywriter doing this work for you, and you can find all kinds of very talented writers who do freelance work, and can easily take care of all of your copywriting needs.
