Technology will never seize to expand, and with it, ways to brand and market the business. But, in the middle of all this, one thing that will leave a lasting impression is to invest on the ‘Human Side’. Connect and engage with your customer on a deeper level. Open up avenues for customers to reach out to you. Join the social media mob. Be vocal about your understanding of what the customers want. Promote an open-door policy. And, while you are busy connecting with the folks in the market, don’t forget to take some time out and spend some quality time with the fellow players of your own team at the office. Remember, nothing gets those creative juices flowing like some time-off to just chill and rejuvenate. Rule #3 Present a visual treat Even the most brilliant marketing idea can fall absolutely flat if the execution is not done undertaken up to the mark. For decades in marketing history, the formats in which ideas could be presented to the consumers were limited. The traditional mediums were outdoor, door-to-door and AV. But, today there are numerous branches in each of these. Social media is one of these, that rose to unknown heights, almost overnight. In today's scenario, think visuals! Platforms like Snapchat, Instagram and Facebook testify the strength of the graphic appeal. So, present your ideas in the most innovative and luring visual format. It should be easy to consume and ready to be interactive. Experts claim that visuals are not only compelling but also the most engaging and has the highest retention meter, when compared to audio or regular data. Rule #4 Constantly keep evolving With the market swamped with competitors with a million different ideas/possibility of presenting and selling the same idea, one needs to outsmart. As the popular idiom goes, 'the only constant in the world is change', keep innovating and evolving with changing digital times. Keep going back to your drawing board and chart new ideas. Don't replenish from old strategies, but come up and fresh and brand new ones. Reason being, your consumer's mood, consumption pattern and preferences will keep constantly changing. Once that happens, they will jump to the closed brand that fits all the needs. So, to be that brand, keep up. Closely follow world marketing leaders, technology, your own market analysis, results, and consumers. You get a new wave of idea every single day. Rule #5 Be the change Relevant for social media marketing, in particular, don't join a trend, rather, start one! Yes, it's about time, if you want to win this digital rat race, spark a new trend. Travel on the road less travelled. If it doesn't take off as expected, at least you'll have the satisfaction of having tried something new. But, if it does work, you'll become a global player, overnight, an instant hit! To get a head start, brainstorm to create viral content. Stuff that is simple, punchy, yet has the capacity to resonate with your consumers. Start discussions and forums on social media. Invite ideas and suggestions from your target audience. Pick discussions topics that are relevant to your niche. So, best of luck, go out there, make some noise, be curious, evolve, grow and may the learning and success never ever seize!
