Being a personal trainer can be a very rewarding career but what about finding clients? If you're a personal trainer you can't really succeed without plenty of clients to keep you busy. Marketing yourself is a great way to get more clients under your wing and there are plenty of ways to go about it. You can set up a great marketing plan quickly for the cost of a domain name - which is under $10.

1. Build a Personal Website. Every certified personal trainer should have their own website or blog. You can easily set up a site using one of the free blogging platforms available online. To personalize it a bit, it's suggested that you buy your own domain name which is very inexpensive. Then all you need to do is add content to it. Start by adding information about yourself and maybe add a FAQ section about what clients can expect from you as their personal trainer.
2. Cherish your Clients. Treat the clients you do have extra special. Do whatever you can to help them succeed. You should have good relationships with your clients and this is easily done by helping them as much as you can. Reward them each time they meet one of their goals and send them encouraging e-mails or messages from time to time so they know you're thinking of them. When you take care of your clients they'll take care of you. They'll do this by recommending you to their family and friends which will bring you more business.
3. Offer Promotions to Current Clients. To get more clients, consider offering your current clients promotional offers for them to bring in a friend or family member. Tell them you'll give one free session to anybody they refer to you.
4. Submit Articles to Article Directories. If you're a certified personal trainer you already have a wealth of knowledge on the subject so why not share it? Submitting educational articles to article directories online, or even your own personal site, is a great way to get your name out there which will allow people to associate you as an expert in the field of personal training. The informative and useful your articles are the better.
5. Create a Facebook Page. Hundreds of millions of people use Facebook each and every day. If you don't have a page created there for your personal trainer business you are missing out on a lot of potential clients. Creating a Facebook page is free and easy and you can even link to your page from your personal site. Try to interact with your followers on a regular basis by offering them fitness tips and special offers from time to time.
If you implement these marketing tips you'll find that it'll help you bring in new clients over time. It may start out slowly but as you build your reputation - and keep it a great one - you'll find that the clients coming in will start to snowball. You'll be able to keep yourself busy and help others learn how to get in shape and maintain a great level of fitness.
