When you are a small business owner, nothing is more important than getting out there and generating new sales leads. After all, without sales, you wouldn't be able to remain in business, would you? There are way too many small business owners who do not get out there nearly as much as they should be to generate new leads, both because they do not have the passion for this part of their business, and also because they may even have a fear of rejection. If you have problems generating new leads for your business, here are five quick ways that you can turn this around: Direct contact or cold calling: One of the oldest, and best, methods of generating new sales leads is just to start approaching people directly and delivering your pitch. It is not something that is easy for everyone to do, and for a lot of people, it can take a lot of practice before they have the nerve to go out and actually do it. Once you can get yourself into the right mindset for cold calling, you will have no problem with getting out there and meeting new people each and every day. Start by introducing yourself, not your product or service, then try and get a phone number or email address so you can contact them again in the near future. Make your Facebook Fan Page look great: Facebook is an incredibly great way to generate new sales leads, and the better your Fan Page looks, the more it is going to attract people. Because this is something that is so relatively new, it is not something that all business owners are taking advantage of yet, and it is a great time to jump right in there and start taking advantage of this fun and useful marketing tool. It takes no time at all to create a great Facebook Fan Page, so what are you waiting for? Webinars and webcasts: The Internet...such a wonderful tool, and so many ways to use it to market your business and get new sales leads. With the Internet, it is easy to create webinars and webcasts that you can show all over the world at the click of a mouse. You can hold classes and conferences, have presentations, and do all kinds of great things that will get the word out about your business and website. Ask customers and others if they will give you referrals: A lot of small business owners do not do this nearly enough, because they think they are going to seem nervy. If you have provided excellent customer service, and offer products or services at great value, your customers are not going to hesitate to refer you to their friends, family members and business associates. You can usually expect to receive at least two new leads for every customer you ask, which is really going to do a lot for your bottom line. Use Facebook Ads and Google Adwords: These and other pay-per-click services can be a really great way to generate new leads. This is so successful because you only pay when you actually get results. You only pay for each time someone clicks on one of the links. You can quickly get a lot of leads this way, although it is something that may take a little while to really learn how to use properly. Once you get the hang of it and understand how it works, you will find that it is a great tool for you to use.
