3. You Can Aid in Employees' Development
Human resource professionals have to truly enjoy working with people, and their role provides them a myriad of opportunities to aid in the growth and development of other employees. This includes working with employees to help them develop and become the best professionals, and people, they can be. This can range from offering advice to providing resources for self-improvement.
4. You Will Be Influential
HR employees exert great influence over the people and organizations they work for. As an HR professional, you will have quite a lot of say in when new employees are hired and who the company chooses to hire. HR managers can be very influential with other business executives in shaping the future of the company and the direction of its growth. You will also have to make some very tough decisions, including whether or not to officially fire an employee and mediate and make decisions on employee disputes or harassment.

Human resources is truly an interdisciplinary profession. A wide breadth of skills are required, including in communications, technology, interpersonal relations and discretion.
