5 Sources of Web Traffic
The more traffic you have, the better, right? More qualified traffic means: client generation, hence – more money in your bank account. But where does the traffic come from? There are 5 different sources of traffic and the are:
1. Content Marketingr
You can create articles, or video tips, or podcasts, or blog shows; maybe ezines or even your status updates on Facebook and your tweets are content creation. Also, your products and your programs. Basically anything that showcases your expertise on a topic and gets your listener, reader or student to be wowed with how many things you know and how good you are in what you do. Then, distributing it everywhere, i.e. marketing it – brings in the traffic to your site.
2. Web Reviewsr
Quite often when you see a product or a program that complements what you offer, you naturally introduce it to your list. Could be through your affiliate link or just because you want to be cool. Either way, your newsletter list will be most likely following your link and going to that other site you just endorsed. Endorsed traffic is usually highly qualified and converts much higher than if someone stumbles upon your website.
3. PPC (Pay Per Click) or as I prefer: Facebook Ads
You can target who you want to see the add and usually, those who click are already interested in what you offer. Now, you do need to be skillful in writing your PPC ads, or craigslist ads, or Facebook ads. Keywords and compelling call to action are key here.
4. SEO
One of the ways lots of entrepreneurs forget to look for potential clients that visit their site is: search engine optimization. It’s areal shame! Optimizing your web content, your articles, your videos, your sales pages, etc with targeted keywords will tremendously help you to be discovered by the regular person who googles for the solution that you offer.
5.Social Media Marketing
This is a two edged sword. You will be getting very good results in terms of number of clients and profits only if you have a good relationship with your audience. Something like 90% content sharing and 10% sales pitch is ok. Unfortunately, some entrepreneurs only broadcast sales messages and call to action without any relationship building with their community.
