Step One: Determine Your Intention for a Retreat
In order to obtain the greatest benefit from your retreat, determine your needs. Take a week or up to a month, to get clear on what you want to accomplish with your retreat. Below is a list of the most common reasons for retreat.
1.Rejuvenate your spirit and connect to your inner peace.
2. Allow time for reflection.
3. Gain clarity on an issue or life path.
3. Find meaning in life beyond daily or material conce
s.
4. Heal from many different conce
s, including divorce or relationship split, a loss of job, or death in the family.
5. Heal stress-induced illness, by learning proven tools to release stress.
6. Reconnect to the divine.
7. Contemplate and find inner clarity
8. Release your emotional blocks, and apply the law of attraction to manifest your dream!
9. A need to escape the routine of daily life and chaos.
10. Feeling stuck in patterns and habits.
Step Two is choosing the right retreat for your needs.
First make a list of what you are looking for in a retreat program. Next, ask lots of questions. Be sure the retreat facilitator has experience working with the issues that you wish to address. Make sure the retreat facility has a non-denominational or broad spiritual focus. It would probably help if you make an appointment to speak in person with the retreat facilitator or retreat manager.
Step three is to decide what area of the country you want to visit.
Keeping in mind your intentions for the retreat, next, determine where you will seek a retreat. Climate and what you want to experience, will play a key role in where you decide to retreat. For instance Arizona has an average of 350 sunny days per year. It is a popular retreat spot for people who suffer from SAD or seasonally affective disorder. People travel from around the world to hike in Sedona, and even if you don’t hike it is a beautiful place to reconnect with nature.
Step Four is to determine When You want to retreat.
When is the best time to take a break. Generally it is when you are in need of a getway. Often instead of taking a break you may keep pushing and eventually your body/mind/spirit will demand a break and you may get sick. Stress can literally make you sick. It was estimated in a study in 1997 that 12 billion dollars was spent on stress related illness. If you feel tired and can’t seem to move beyond this feeling with 2-3 full nights rest then it is time for a break.
Step Five determine the length of your retreat.
Our most popular retreat is our three day retreat. It is becoming increasingly popular to take shorter breaks and more often. Our retreat guests find that a three day getaway is just what the doctor ordered. However our guests who take a full week do leave feeling a bit more rejuvenated. This is usually determined by your budget of both time and money.

Do what you love and love what you do
One of my greatest joys is helping people make their dreams come true. There's just something purely magical about the sparkle in their eyes when they are doing what they love. I think it resonates so loudly with me because I know how they feel. Only recently did I have the courage to work for myself and do what I love
