Theoretically, with the warm temperatures of summer keeping you from putting on too much, you should have an easier time picking out what to wear. So why is it so hard to pick out what to wear? If you’re not sure where to start in getting your wardrobe ready for summer, read on for the five essential summer looks you need in your closet. Business Casualr If you work in an office, you need to keep a professional look about you, but don’t let that stifle your creativity – you can still look good while spiffied up. For tops, consider some nice-looking, flowy button-up shirts. Whichever colors you decide to go with will depend on your company’s standards. You’ll be sure to get away with white, but think about branching out to more colorful options such as yellow. For bottoms, a skirt or well-fitting dark pants will go with anything you decide to wear. Even if your job doesn’t require you to dress up, it’s still good to have this look on hand, as you never know when you’ll have to look professional. The Not-Trying-Too-Hard Lookr You’re going to need something easy to wear for when you’re doing some chores about town. While you want to look good, you’re not going to want to spend a lot of time on your outfit. A simple T-shirt and jeans, or if the weather is warm, shorts, will be sufficient. Or, a bright, colorful summer dress will be sure to catch the eyes of many while requiring little work from you. But, don’t let the open-endedness of this look fool you, as it can be a lot harder than you might think. What you choose to wear should express your personality, so for some, that might mean neutral colors, while for others, that means bright, patterned clothes. Swimming Suitr Nothing says summer quite like beach day, so when you’re ready to soak up the rays and get a little wet, you’ll need to have the perfect swimming suit. If you’re not too conce ed about getting an even tan, you can spring for a one-piece suit, which will great if you plan to be more in the water than out of it. But if you’d rather sit in the sand and read a book (or take a nap), you might want to consider getting a new bikini. Active Wearr It’s important that we get our exercise, not just here and there, but on a daily basis. If you aren’t in a healthy routine, summer is the perfect time to start. Whether you’re running, biking, or walking, you should have the right clothing to keep you comfortable but still look fashionable. Which outfit you need will probably depend on what activity you’re doing, but in most cases, a simple athletic top and workout shorts will do. Keep in mind that the fabric material is very important; you’ll want your clothes to not weigh you down, so look at cotton and nylon blends. For bonus points, look at getting a smart watch accessory to keep track of your progress. Going Outr You’re going to need at least one stunner to turn heads when you go out. For most, a well-fitting dress will do just the job to catch eyes. But while your main piece will be the center of attention, don’t forget to accessorize. You should remember to pick out some good shoes – high heels or flats, depending on the situation – as well as a color-coordinated handbag. Don’t stop there, though. Also remember to have the perfect shade of lipstick to go along with your lipstick. If you spend some time picking out the right items before your big night out, you’ll be sure to have the attention, and envy, of everyone around you.
