Premature ejaculation is a prevalent dysfunction in sexual performance among men. It is known to affect at least 30% of men all over the United States. Although it is quite common among younger men who are just starting to be sexually active, it is also a condition that besets many men who are older and who may have gone through a long period without sex.

1. Learn how to breathe properly. By taking deep breaths during intercourse, you will be able to calm your ejaculatory reflex, thereby prolonging ejaculation. Do regular deep breathing exercises so that proper breathing becomes a habit which can help you during sex.
2. Many sex experts would recommend distraction techniques, which help you take your mind off your own sexual arousal. Research shows a good number of men who suffer from premature ejaculation do so, because they are too anxious about their sexual performance. One way to lessen this anxiety is to focus on your partner’s sexual pleasure. By doing this, you are not just taking your mind off your sexual performance, but you are also making it a more pleasurable experience for your partner. She will still feel satisfied even though your erection is short lived.
3. Get into a regular exercise program. Exercise releases endorphins or the "happy hormone" which help improve your mood and can even give you a natural high! 4. Encourage yourself to try different positions. You can ask her to be on top which allows you more control on her movements.
